NEWS AND CONFLICT

Program overview

News and Conflict is a course unique in Australian media – the first course to try to address the fact that reporters and photographers trying to do their jobs are increasingly being targeted by angry and aggressive people.

The trainers for this course come from a military and policing background. They have worked very closely with the industry including a large number of photographers and reporters to develop a course that’s relevant to the way you do your jobs. Course development is ongoing and in itself lends a value of currency and credibility to the program, industry feedback is very important - for this reason we encourage you to participate in the knowledge centre.

More than just a course. This program is a business intervention that aligns your people to your business culture.

Program includes topics:

  • Risk
  • Personal Safety
  • Conflict
  • Crowds and Mobs
  • Critical Incident Management
  • Understanding Scenes
  • Legal
  • Communication & Conflict
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
