NEED YOUR SENIOR FIRST AID CERTIFICATE? This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

Delivery
This program is delivered over 14 hours. the delivery mode is available in a workshop style with 7 hours theory and 7 hours practical. Or using an online tool which requires only 6 hours face to face assessment on succesful completion of the online component.
PROVIDE FIRST AID IN REMOTE SITUATION HLTFA302A - Program overview
DO YOU WORK ALONE OR ARE ISOLATED? This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation.

Prepare to respond to emergency in a remote situation
Provide First Aid in a remote situation
Work in conjunction with medical and emergency services support
Evaluate the incident
Delivery
This program is delivered over 9 hours. the delivery mode is available in a workshop style outdoors practical.
ASSESSMENT STRATEGY
Each unit has a series of tasks for participants to complete. These tasks are based on participants solving possible real life problems that may occur.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
In competency-based training, you are not expected to repeat training for competencies, which you already possess. In accordance with national VET policy, RPL will be available to you when you enroll in a Beltin Group qualification. Please note that RPL will not be granted for partial units of competency. RPL will be granted only where sufficient evidence is provided of competence for an entire Unit of Competency. Should you wish to apply for RPL please complete our Application Form for RPL (Participant Handbook; p19) and arrange an RPL interview with your Course Coordinator.
COURSE CONDUCT
All courses are professionally facilitated including practical application of skills in an engaging forum. All participants receive a workbook to complement the learning of the program and to retain as a reference source. Specialist courses often include specialist equipment packs on successful completion of the course.
Course times are generally 9am to 4:30pm, with coffee and tea served from 8:30am each morning. Refreshments and lunch are included in all course costs.
You must complete and submit your course registration form to confirm a position on your nominated course. We will reply by a confirmation email that your registration and payment has been processed successfully prior to commencement of the course
